Twofold Zeus

The five planetary symbols to the left of the circle, under the words “Absolute Soul,” are the rulerships and exaltations of the third quadrant. The outermost ring contains the dignities of houses 9-12 distributed so that the house-9 dignities are in the first quadrant, the house-10 dignities are in the second quadrant, the house-11 dignities are in the third quadrant, and the house-12 dignities are in the fourth quadrant. Damiani sometimes refers to this ring as the “Jupiter ring” or “Demiurgic Intellect ring.”

Going inward, the next ring contains the exaltations of houses 9-12, then the detriments of houses 9-12, and then the rulerships of houses 9-12. Damiani sometimes refers to this ring as the “Partial Soul ring” or “[Dragon’s] Tail ring.”

The next 4 rings constitute the metaphysical chart, with only some of the dignities filled in.

In the center of this circle, there are two circles whose intersection form a vesica, and this configuration represents the three material worlds of house 12.

On the right side of the diagram, going from top to bottom, are the planets in the detriment ring, beginning with Jupiter in Gemini. Saturn, Saturn, and Jupiter are the detriments in the second quadrant.

In the next row, reading right to left, Mars, Venus, and Mercury are the detriments of the third quadrant, and under Mars are the rulerships of houses 9-12, under Venus are the detriments of houses 9-12, and under Mercury are the exaltations of houses 9-12. Note that the Moon and Sun to the right of Mars are not part of the detriment ring but are the falls (Body) in the third quadrant.

In the next row, reading from right to left, Moon, Sun, and Mercury are the detriments in the fourth quadrant. Finally, the Mercury at the bottom is Mercury in Pisces (Fall).
