Fifth-Eleventh House Axis: Jivatma and the Fourteen Lokas

Universal Manifestation (Houses 9-12)

The rulership (Sun in Leo) and detriment (Saturn in Leo) of house 5 are opposite the rulership (Saturn in Aquarius) and detriment (Sun in Aquarius) of house 11, with the rest of the seven planets occupying the “empty” position of the exaltation ring in houses 5 and 11. The dignities of houses 10 and 12 are also displayed.

At the center of the large circle is a smaller circle, implicitly divided into twelve houses, and each of the twelve mundane, or cosmic, gods of the Orphic theogony is associated with one of its houses.

Around the circumference of this circle, the dignities of houses 9-12 are distributed so that the house-9 dignities are in the first quadrant of the circle, the house-10 dignities are in the second quadrant, the house-11 dignities are in the third quadrant, and the house-12 dignities are in the fourth quadrant. In some contexts, Damiani refers to this configuration of dignities as the “Jupiter ring” or “Demiurgic Intellect ring.”
