The metaphysical chart is divided into thirds. In houses 1-4 and 5-8, only the detriments and falls are listed (except for the Jupiter in exaltation in house 4 and the Saturn in exaltation in house 7), but in houses 9-12, the rulerships, exaltations, detriments, and falls are listed, and the five planets between the Saturn and Sun in house 11 represent the "empties" in the exaltation ring.
