The top line of planets is the dignities of houses 5-8, grouped by house (or sign) and then in the following order: rulership, exaltation, detriment, fall (reading left to right). Some of the planets have signs above them. These are some of the signs in which that planet is in dignity. When read from top to bottom, these signs are in the following order: rulerships, exaltations, and detriments. Note that there are no signs listed in which the planet is in fall.

The next five lines are the One, Dyad, Triad, Tetrad, and Pentad. The One is symbolized by the dignities of house 1; the Dyad by the dignities of houses 2 and 3; the Triad by the ten dignities of the first quadrant; the Tetrad by the twelve rulerships of houses 1-12; and the Pentad by the seven planets plus the Dragon’s Head in the exaltation ring.
