Demiurgic Intellect Ring and Particular Soul Ring

The outermost ring, labeled “Demiurgic Intellect,” contains the dignities of houses 9-12 distributed so that the house-9 dignities are in the first quadrant, the house-10 dignities are in the second quadrant, the house-11 dignities are in the third quadrant, and the house-12 dignities are in the fourth quadrant.

The next ring, labeled “Partial Soul (Int, Life, Being),” contains the exaltations of houses 9-12, distributed over the first third of the chart and labeled “Particular Intellect”; then the detriments of houses 9-12, distributed over the second third of the chart and labeled “Particular Life”; and then the rulerships of houses 9-12, distributed over the last third and labeled “Particular Being.”

In the inside of the circle, Particular Intellect is correlated with Saturn in Leo (a Nature detriment in the second quadrant); Particular Life with Mars, Venus, and Mercury (the three detriments in the third quadrant); and Particular Being with the Moon and Sun (two detriments in the fourth quadrant).

Along the circle that divides the Demiurgic Intellect ring from the Partial Soul ring are symbols for the aspects in astrology—for example, the square aspect is placed in house 4 because Saturn in Capricorn in house 4 is 90 degrees away from Jupiter in Sagittarius in house 1. Thus this diagram explores how the aspects in astrology are prefigured in the relation of parts of the Demiurgic Intellect to itself.
