The row of planetary glyphs consists of the dignities of the first quadrant in four groups (rulerships, exaltations, detriments, and falls), which constitutes the Triad. Above and below Mars in Aries are the other signs in which it is in dignity. The signs above Mars, reading from bottom to top, are those in which Mars is in rulership, exaltation, detriment, and fall. The signs below Mars, reading from top to bottom, are in the order of the zodiacal signs from Aries to Pisces (or houses 1-12).
