Samkhya

This diagram divides the fourth quadrant into three sectors (houses) and three partial “rings.” The outermost ring consists of the dignities of house 10 of the metaphysical chart; the next ring, the dignities of house 11; and the next ring, the dignities of house 12. The dignities are distributed such that the rulerships are in the first sector (reading counterclockwise), the exaltations are in the second sector, and the detriments and falls are in the third sector. Note how this reverses the way houses and rings are used in the metaphysical chart, where the twelve houses refer to the zodiacal signs and the four rings refer to the rulerships, exaltations, detriments, and falls.
