Demiurgic Intellect Ring and Particular Soul Ring

The dignities of houses 9-12 of the metaphysical chart are placed in four partial “rings,” drawn in red pencil, which group these dignities as rulerships, exaltations, detriments, and falls (reading from outer ring to inner).

Inside of the last ring is a twelvefold circle, with two rings, drawn in blue pencil. The outer ring contains the dignities of houses 9-12 distributed so that the house-9 dignities are in the first quadrant, the house-10 dignities are in the second quadrant, the house-11 dignities are in the third quadrant, and the house-12 dignities are in the fourth quadrant. Damiani sometimes refers to this ring as the “Jupiter ring” or “Demiurgic Intellect ring.”

The inner ring contains the exaltations of houses 9-12, distributed over houses 1-4 of the circle and labeled “particular intellect”; the detriments of houses 9-12, distributed over houses 5-8 of the circle and labeled “particular life”; and the rulerships of houses 9-12, distributed over houses 9-12 and labeled “particular being.” Damiani sometimes refers to this ring as the Particular Soul ring,” “Partial Soul ring,” or “[Dragon’s] Tail ring.”

In the upper right of the diagram, following the text about the Demiurgic Intellect, are four groups of planetary glyphs: the dignities of houses 9-12, with each group in the order rulerships, exaltations, detriments, and falls.
