Twofold Zeus

In the center of the diagram, there is a twelvefold circle with a number of concentric circles, or “rings” within it, labeled “Demiurgic Intellect.”

The outermost ring contains the dignities of houses 9-12 distributed so that the house-9 dignities are in the first quadrant, the house-10 dignities are in the second quadrant, the house-11 dignities are in the third quadrant, and the house-12 dignities are in the fourth quadrant. Damiani sometimes refers to this ring as the “Jupiter ring” or “Demiurgic Intellect ring.”

The next ring assigns one of the regular aspects in astrology to each house—for example, the square aspect is placed in house 4 because house 4 is 90 degrees away from house 1.

The next ring contains the exaltations of houses 9-12, distributed over the first third of the chart and labeled “intellect of a particular soul”; the detriments and falls of houses 9-12, distributed over the second third of the chart and labeled “particular life”; and the rulerships of houses 9-12, distributed over the last third and labeled “particular being.” Damiani sometimes refers to this ring as the “Partial Soul ring” or “[Dragon’s] Tail ring.”

The next four rings are labeled “Dignities or activity of Ahamkara” and refer to the rulerships, exaltations, detriments, and falls.

The next ring is labeled “Sphere 1st” and refers to the inerratic sphere, the next is labeled “Orbit 2nd” and refers to the planetary spheres, and the last is labeled “Body 3rd” and refers to the sublunary sphere.

On either side of the circle are four rows of planetary glyphs. On the top row are the dignities of houses 9-7, with the rulerships and exaltations on the left and the detriments and falls on the right.

In the next row down, on the left, are the signs in which Jupiter and Saturn are in rulership in houses 10-12, and on the right, below each of the three detriments is a column of dignities. Below Mercury in Sagittarius are the exaltations of houses 9-12, below Venus in Scorpio are the detriments of houses 9-12, and below Mars in Libra are the rulerships of houses 9-12. (These are the same three groups that form the third ring of the circle, except there the falls, as well as the detriments, of houses 9-12 are listed.)

In the next row down, on the left, are the exaltations of houses 10-12, and on the right, the detriments of houses 10-12.

On the last line, on the left, is the sign of Capricorn, which refers to Jupiter in Capricorn, in fall, and on the right, is Mercury in Pisces, in fall.

In the upper right of the diagram, there is a string of planetary glyphs arranged vertically. These are the planets in the detriment ring, with the Nature detriments in parentheses, in the first and second quadrants. Since the two lines to the right of the circle list the detriments of the third and fourth quadrant, all the planets in the detriment ring can be found in a vertical list on the right side of the diagram.
