Being, Life, Intellect (Intellectual-Principle)

The circle is divided into thirds. The first third (houses 1-4), labeled “Being-Intelligible,” lists the rulership, exaltation, and detriment of house 1, but in reverse order from that of the metaphysical chart— that is, here the rulership is innermost and the detriment is outermost.

The second third (houses 5-8), labeled “Intelligible-Intellectual,” has four partial “rings” that contain the dignities of houses 5-8, again, in reverse order, with the falls being outermost.

The third third (houses 9-12), labeled “Intellectual,” lists the rulerships and exaltations of houses 9-12, again, in reverse order, with the exaltations being outermost.

On the right, there are three sets of planetary quaternities. The first, labeled “Rulers I Q,” consists of the rulers of the first third of the circle—that is, houses 1-4. (The label thus refers to the first third, not the first quadrant. Similarly with the other two labels.)

The second, labeled “Rulers II Q,” consists of the rulers of the second third of the circle—that is, houses 5-8.

The third, labeled “Rulers III Q,” consists of the rulers of the third third of the circle—that is, houses 9-12.
