The Four Gnostic Functions Correlated with the Dignities Spanning the Four Cardinal Points of the Metaphysical Chart

Divided Line (Plato)

The four quadrants of the metaphysical chart are depicted, with the four cardinal points labeled with the names of the four gnostic functions associated with the four sections of Plato’s Divided Line: the ascendant with perception, or phantasy; the nadir with intuition; the descendant with rational cogitation; and the midheaven with sensation.

The rulerships and exaltations of houses 12 and 1, 3 and 4, 6 and 7, and 9 and 10 are listed. The dignities are located as if they were in the concentric rings of the metaphysical chart, with the rulerships in the outermost ring and the exaltations in the next ring. The exaltation of house 2 is also listed. It’s not clear if the glyph for Mars, the rulership of house 1, has been erased or is just very faintly drawn.
