Demiurgic Intellect and the Twelve Cosmic Gods Nested within the Metaphysical Chart

Twofold Zeus

The largest circle is divided into twelve houses, with the signs of the zodiac listed outside the circle. The dignities of the metaphysical chart are listed for houses 1-7.

Inside this circle is a vesica, divided into twelve sectors by the divisions of the encompassing circle. Inside the vesica is what Damiani sometimes refers to as the “Jupiter ring” or “Demiurgic Intellect ring”: the dignities of houses 9-12 of the metaphysical chart are distributed so that the house-9 dignities are in the first quadrant of the vesica, the house-10 dignities are in the second quadrant, the house-11 dignities are in the third quadrant, and the house-12 dignities are in the fourth quadrant.

Inside the vesica is a smaller twelvefold circle, with each house associated with one of the twelve mundane, or cosmic, gods of the Orphic theogony.

The fabricative triad is associated with the fire signs; the defensive triad, with the earth signs; the harmonic triad, with the air signs; and the vivific triad, with the water signs.

The cosmos, represented by houses 9-12, has house 3 as the principle of its Unity, house 4 as the principle of its Intellect, house 5 as the principle of its Soul, and house 6 as the principle of its Body.
