An entity is constituted by a number of organs which its functions have produced for itself and which are distinct but functioning as a pseudo-unity (entity is composed of heaps).

Paragraph 277: Instinct = psychical essence which projects itself as a physical image and a mental aspect which experiences it through archetypes.

Jung's inborn faculty of perception and apprehension are the gnostic functions -- a priori modes of intuition.

The vesica (soul) is the prior postulate of the entity which I am.

Psychic organs or instincts are embedded in life, not the body.
