Cognitive rel. [relation/relationship] implies an objective referent.

Ontological object = referent object (objective).

Epistemological object = appearing object (objectifiable).

Sautrantika -- no difference between mind and its states -- are one substance

Subjective knowing and objective referent are amalgamated into one whole presentation.

What's objective (ontic) is already part of an epistemological relation. Anything objective is already objectified. Non-objective things (a pink elephant) are also objectifiable. Primacy is given to the epistemic.

The dharma reals of the Vaibhashikas are equal to dissipated essences.
