FORCE FIELDS, presentation by Vic Mansfield.

* Portions were read of "The Reality of the Non-Material" by F. L. Kunz in Nature, Man & Society.

"Photons are features of the quantized radiation field"--that's what we'd call Bhutas in Samkhya. Here is the transition from continuous intelligible universal into particularized localized experiential units.

"Structuralized space"--is the geometric curvature of space. The inerratic as the Intellect of the universe is about this real idea.

Some distribution of matter will determine the characteristics of space-time and its degree of curvature--this curvature then tells matter how to move. A very severe space-time curvature is what is understood as an atom.

But the redistribution of matter will in turn change the geometry of the way the matter moves. There's an interplay of the fields moving the matter and the matter organizing the field. In one sense the matter has been dissolved into the geometry, or the atoms are particular localizations of the geometry. This is the Pythagorean point of view.

* The sidereal zodiac (or band of fixed stars) might be more than one force field, it might be 12.

Within that is the solar system. There is the Sun-centered view, and the Earth-centered view.

The tropical zodiac, being conceptual or imaginary, not visible, represents the gnostic.

The sidereal zodiac represents the fabricative.

Anthony: The field forces of the sidereal come in through the planetary spheres--what comes out is concepts.

* Plato conceived of the Earth as a 12-sided sphere, a dodecahedron.

* What does the Earth Soul mean?

The Idea of Man in Soul is the Idea coming through the Earth Soul, the 12 ideas in the tropical zodiac.

The Ideas in the Cosmos is the sidereal forces, the Reason Principles structuring the force field.

The planets play a role in both the tropical and sidereal zodiacs, but when the planets are in dignity they're aspecting the tropical signs, and when they're in non-dignity they're responding to the underlie of the force field.

* The force field is being equated with the Ideas, which are universal, all-pervasive.

* The word "tropical" comes from the same root as the word "turn," (established by the turning of the Earth).

The word "tropism" in the sense that Santayana uses it, are the habits in matter, which is the way to look at the categories. The instantiation of the sidereal forces gives rise to these tropes.

The organization of those tropes into a living entity is reflected in its knowledge. That knowledge is organized by the tropical zodiac.

* The bodily vehicles are built up by the sidereal forces. The tropical organizes a certain understanding, it organizes that confusion of sensations into a body of knowledge. The tropical zodiac belongs to the Earth, the Earth's mind that is organizing our understanding.

* The categories have to be "a posteriori" because the material constituents have to be there first.

* In order to try to understand the functioning of the planets, we read sections from Plato: Epinomis, p. 1528 (Bo11ingen); Republic, Book X, "Myth of Er," p. 841, Timaeus.
