Ahamkara - Buddhi - Prakriti in ananda/vijnana body are prototypes of knowing willing feeling as bhavas in manomaya.

Pure and impure bhavas are misleading -- impure is pejorative -- a Sage also relates to his sheaths through the "impure" bhavas.

Analytic and synthetic self-identity of the mind: analytic--unity of the I itself, transcendental unity of apperception; synthetic--the I as synthesizing contents, unity of contents.

Analytic has the 5 modes of knowledge presented to it -- function of manifestation -- pure bhava. Synthetic produces or synthesizes the image -- impure bhavas.

Chaldean Undivided Mind has 8 bhavas.

KCB -- We have to distinguish ourself from the mental Sunlike body by suppressing the knowing willing feeling one at a time or all at once (samyama).

The compulsions of feeling are what ties you to the mental body.

mental body (manomaya, vijnanamaya, anandamaya) → purusha

manomaya -- disidentify from feeling, mental body as feeling = tanmatras -- quintiles

vijnanamaya -- disidentify from willing, mental body as willing -- septiles

anandamaya -- disidentify from knowing = viveka, mental body as ideas = Augoeides

Each level also has knowing-willing-feeling -- the scheme is vertical and horizontal.

KCB's analysis is really from the viewpoint of viraj, the cosmic being, and not really the individual souls -- which would be more limited.

Individual ego-consciousness remains all the way up to asmita.

The astrological mandala was and is our cosmic identity.
