Thus the flight to the moon signifies a new freedom for man, a freedom to pass beyond self-imposed boundaries.

We too will attempt a similar flight, though employing other means, for our goal is otherwise: the presentation of a synthetic and panoramic view of a transcendental psychology that has glimpsed the mystery of the seven souls.

"The science of the seven souls was anciently part of the esoteric tradition of the mysteries. In the modern world it has been differentiated as a subject for separate consideration under the name, psychology. Modern psychologists are just beginning the exploration in the great sphere of the subjective personality. If they continue their investigations they will eventually come face to face with the mystery of the seven souls. Our analysis of and investigation into the philosophical presuppositions of astrology is prefigured by the symbolical representation of the zodiac as given to us by T. Subba Row. This co-worker of H.P. Blavatsky was an early pioneer of the Theosophical society, a dedicated group that in the last century helped to publicize the esoteric wisdom. We have chosen but a fragment of that wisdom to help guide us in our attempt to restore in some detail the soteriological significance that astrology offers mankind. T.
