underlying non-perceptual continuum which is the basis of manifestation = alaya = 10th House, Capricorn

144 degrees angle of vesica = half of nidana

4-9 grasps intelligible and produces our empirical consciousness, 10-3 = wheel of samsara.

Each house appears in its opposite as samsaric wheel.

Example:

Cancer -- nama rupa appears as your existence, Capricorn.

Leo -- manas and senses locates you in a particular loka, Aquarius.

Virgo -- 5 karma indriyas (contact) contact the intelligible and becomes the externally perceived world = death (bhuta = has been, always changing) = Pisces.

Libra -- vedana or pure sensation is interpreted by us as ignorance = Aries.

Taurus -- samskaras = your thinking are produced by thirst, Scorpio.

Western occultists

Hearing = ether is first element

Govinda -- skandhas can be resolved into pure consciousness. [Note: Lama Anagarika Govinda, Foundations of Tibetan Mysticism.]

Buddhist Logicians -- In the act of distinguishing and distinguisher there is no duality (apprehending and apprehender); stand is between manas and alaya, senses are in Virgo as subtle.

Nyaya realists would maintain a separate subject, object, and relation; stand is in terms of 12th house, senses are in Pisces as physical.

[Buddhist Logicians and Nyayas] operate with different premises.

Sensation -- absolutely particular and unavailable to our conceptualization = alocana, bare givenness of object.
