Imagination (spirit) = astral body, bond between body and soul (irrational and rational).

Soul uses astral body supplied to it by planetary spheres as a vehicle for sense experience (Plato's fable of the chariot). [Note: Plato, Phaedrus, sections 246a-254e.]

Astral distorts information revealed by the senses -- no distortion would mean getting to prime matter.

Circulation is from being to being -- forces evolve out of being a phenomenal world which decays and lapses back into being (Steiner's term = astral world).
