Paragraph 55 -- third (higher) consciousness = World-Soul, Sun in Aquarius - taijasa consciousness

B = thinking mind

A = sense-manifold or all the sensations you can feel about your body

1) A and B = individual and space-time world indissolubly joined (are one circle)

2) D = individual consciousness = reality of world

3) D = consciousness the reality of both

4) C = third higher consciousness (World-Mind)

(This is a slightly different interpretation from last week, when #2 was interpreted as B (not D).)

Individual consciousness (D) does not think (B), but it illuminates it.

Paragraph 56 -- "world which spreads itself out before our gaze" = our universe, the cosmos

Paragraph 33, top p. 37 --

An idea in individual consciousness is consciousness's own idea. There is a distinction between the functioning individual mind which produces an idea and the consciousness which illuminates that mind. Although the idea is within consciousness, it is not produced by it.
