Paragraph 8 -- consciousness is used as an ultimate term, but presupposes mind which thinks into existence the qualities of which we are aware.

If the dream (or world) is inside your mind, it is also inside your (psychical) sense-organs.

Types of mentality or stages in the development of the human mind: archaic, mythological, magical, mental

At the instant the mind goes out and envelops the subtle body (given by the cosmic soul) the world appears for you through the physical consciousness (which results from the mind's projection through the subtle body's five senses).

The term 'awareness' is used consistently (= Overself).

The term 'consciousness' is used variably on different levels according to the context.

Thinking is prior to imagination, which is the plastic medium which the mind informs.

Paragraphs 10 and 11 -- the mind to which consciousness is a property is Nous, not individual mind (which is jada). The characteristic of Nous is consciousness.

The first thought is "I".

The association of consciousness with the individual mind → the I-thought.

Pure I-ness is from Overself.
