Three levels of Yogacara:

1) parinispanna -- thoroughly established (360 degrees) -- non-causal

2) paratantra -- relatively real, functionally real = A through D

3) totally imaginal (within the imagination) = E; falsely conceived (not imagined as productive imagination)

Are really three aspects (views) of the same thing = principle of manas, Aquarius.

Paratantra = dependent arising, functioning of the dharmas = validly imagined.

1) = ultimate truth

2) = conventional

Most schools have two levels -- third level of Yogacara may be spurious.

Vijnanas can be correlated with divided line.

Alaya = Jung's Self.

Suzuki, Awakening of Faith [Note: Aśvaghosha's Discourse on the Awakening of Faith in the Mahayana, translated by D.T. Suzuki, Chicago: The Open Court Publishing Company, London: Kegan Paul, Trench, Trubner & Co., Ltd., 1900.] -- five aspects of manas (all within Aquarius).

1) karma-vijnana -- activity consciousness -- vasanas have a motility, planetary functioning never ceases

2) pravritti-vijnana -- evolving consciousness -- tendency towards manifestation

3) khyati-vijnana -- representation consciousness -- manas reflects or represents an external world

4) klistomano-vijnana -- particularization consciousness -- discriminates between different things -- sense of I-ness is particularizing you into a relatively fixed ego-consciousness (a portion of the 360 degrees) and is therefore "defiled"

5) succession consciousness -- the effects of its actions remain within it

Three levels of Yogacara, five aspects of manas, etc. all apply to vesica.

Dharmas (ayatanas) or vesica provides basis for knowledge (mind - vehicle) but not what knows, which is from outside the vesica (prajna) -- consciousness.

Since only some of the zodiacal degrees are incorporated into an entity (manas), the other degrees can be experienced as objective to that subject --- this is a critique of Yogacara.
