The 11th H. and the Grid

In the 11th House the Sun in Aquarius is a symbol of both Nature and Soul. We have to trace back to the 11th the 12-fold, 7 powers, and 4 functions--both gnostic and fabricative.

The 7 Soul Powers are from the Subjective Soul ring.

The 12 of the Liberated Order are the heterogeneous Reason Principles which are the System of Nature. These 12 are from the Reason Principle of the Universe in the Universal Soul (3rd Quadrant).

The 4 functions of Know[ing]-Will[ing]-Feeling-Sensing are from the Separative Intellect--the Causal bhavas or Functions of Buddhi which are the apparently subjective knowing functions.

The substance of the mental body--of the Sun in Aquarius--is the 4 Tanmatras which are from Jupiter in Capricorn.

In the 11th, the 7 Soul Powers are associated with the 12 orders of Reason Principles. The bhavas are instrumental in associating these 7 Powers with the Reason Principles. (YOGA speaks of the 7 vrittis of the mind.) In Samkhya the light of Purusa (which in Samkhya is undifferentiated, but here would be the pure Soul Powers) is involved in manifestation through its association with these Causal bhavas. These Causal bhavas of Buddhi, associated with the Soul, unify the whole mental body functioning.

These bhavas are the Separative Intellect since they differentiate the pure Soul Powers and associate them with the Four levels of Reason Principles in the Liberated Order, i.e., in the 12-fold of Ideas (Reason Principles).

The Substance of these 12 Reason Principles is Tanmatra.

So in this cosmic mental body we have the Light of Soul, associated with the Separative Intellect functions, is conjoined with the 12 Reason Principles with their underlie of Tanmatras.

The 4-fold Ring view of the Grid: R - E - D - F is an image of the 4-fold bhava ordering in the 11th → this gives the gnostic functions of the Grid.

The 4-fold Quadrant view of Grid -- ordered by 1, 2, 3, 4 Q[uadrants] is an image of the 4-fold Tanmatric Substance in the 11th → this is the fabricative aspect.

The whole 11th House system goes into the manifesting of this Grid, the Cosmocrators. The Fabricative function then manifests the material vehicles and the 4-fold order of quadrants is from the 4 Tanmatras.

The gnostic function of the Cosmocrators accompanies this fabrication. It is through these that the Cosmocrators are the vehicles for the knowledge coming from the Liberated Order and Soul Powers in the 11th.

(Perhaps we can trace also the 4 levels of Reason Principles in the Cosmos, which correspond to the 4 levels of gnostic function, to the Jupiter → Unific ↔︎ Intuition, Mars Venus → Causal ↔︎ Reason, Tail → Subtle ↔︎ Belief, Saturn → Gross ↔︎ Sense from the 3rd Quadrant.)

The gnostic ones have to do with the 4 levels of gods. The ones not in dignity deal with the 4 Tanmatras which are the substance of the mental body (and which manifest in the 12th House).

If we inspect which gnostic levels the planets go with in the 11th House, we can see for example with Jupiter:

Jupiter needs belief, as its aspect of the Separative Intellect, in the 1st Quadrant (Jupiter in Gemini, 3rd House). Jupiter in Gemini would be Belief, Jupiter functioning in the Fire Tanmatra, requires the gnostic faculty of belief (in the existence of a sensible body).

The fabricative Jupiter in Aries and Jupiter in Taurus are what the mind believes in. The pure Soul Power has to manifest something of these Reason Principles. "The mind fabricates something and then believes in it." Jupiter in Aries is the unity of the thing, and Jupiter in Taurus is the essence of the thing, combined they produce Jupiter in Gemini belief.

* Jupiter is associated with the causal level in the 2nd Quadrant. In the 2nd Quadrant, Jupiter in Cancer is Reason, and Jupiter in Virgo is Belief. The Soul Power of Jupiter must use Jupiter Reason and Belief to organize the Earth; it doesn't need to fabricate.

The fabrication will be symbolized by the Jupiter in the 5th House that is left out. This has to do with the organization of the substance. The 5th House Empties are the substance of the Reason Principles.

Jupiter in Virgo is the actualization of that in matter. The two [the gnostic planets Jupiter in Cancer and Jupiter in Virgo] are required for the building of the vehicle the [fabricative non-dignity Jupiter planet in the 2nd Quadrant] Jupiter in Leo uses, in other words, the vehicle the 'I' functions through. This vehicle of the 'I' is built up by the Earth Tanmatra.

All three Jupiters in this quadrant [2nd Quadrant] are working together to organize a certain kind of vehicle.

In a similar way, in the 12th House, the Cosmocrators are both the agent and the vehicle.

(In the divided line, the length of the section of Belief equals the length of the section of Reason.)

* In the 3rd Quadrant Jupiter has the Air Tanmatra as the substance of its functioning. It must be associated with Intuition in the 9th House, Jupiter in Sagittarius.

In the 3rd Quadrant we have Jupiter / Mars Venus / Tail / Saturn as Reason Principles. The 4 levels of Reason Principles are coming from here.

This Jupiter in Sagittarius would be the underlie of the 10th House.

* Associated with the Water Tanmatra in the 4th Quadrant, Jupiter functions as Sense (Jupiter in Capricorn) and Intuition (Jupiter in Pisces).

* We could do a similar analysis with other planets.

* Looking at this diagram in this way Jupiter, Vesta, and Hermes are Reason Principles embedded in the Fire Tanmatra. But is this correct, do the three gods represent three different elements? Or, perhaps are Jupiter, Vesta, Hermes, and Ceres a 4-fold?

For Vesta is supposed to be a guardian power. And the three fabricative gods Jupiter, Neptune, and Vulcan all seem to have to do with the Fire Tanmatra. Maybe we are confusing substance with function.

* Perhaps we should have some kind of 3-dimensional diagram, with Jupiter in the 1st ring, Vesta in the 2nd, Hermes in the 3rd.

For instance Saturn is in the 1st Quadrant Fire, but it is in the 4th Ring, so it's vivific. One ordering is according to rings, the other is according to quadrants.

Maybe there should be one ordering according to rings--fabricative, harmonic, vivific, guardian--and one according to quadrants, the Tanmatras--FEAW [Fire Earth Air Water]. So then Intuition is related to the fabricative gods, reason to the guardian, belief to the harmonic, sensation to the vivific.

This diagram would give the 7 lokas associated with each planet, so that certain Reason Principles would be associated with each of them,

For instance, think of one loka, with 12 different kinds of vasanas. Then Saturn has to travel through these 12 levels of vasanas, so that would have to deal with vasanas distributed according to FEAW, and placing them in one loka.

* The Jupiter-Vesta monad in the Liberated Order is structuring the Soul Powers.

* If instead of gods, we look at Jupiter, Vesta, Hermes around the 11th House as Reason Principles of Nature (which are from the Demiurgic Intellect), then Jupiter is the Unity, and Vesta is the essences that comprise that unity, and are included in that unity.

Jupiter interacts with Vesta and Hermes.

We still don't know where to put the Tanmatras in the diagram. It was pointed out that in the Timaeus Fire is the principle of visibility for the stars.

But then maybe if the stars are perceivable in terms of vision, we're not seeing the actual god. Or perhaps in the fixed stars is instantiated a predominance of Fire, which causes them to be visible.

* "Body is always sensible body"--but there are two ingredients in body, body and the Reason Principles instantiated in that body. Does body here mean Ether, F E A W, or just ether, the secondary extension of matter? Body is composed of secondary matter, and the forms (FEAW) are instantiated in it (according to Plotinus). Because how otherwise does it mean that Fire needs a Reason Principle, and when matter approaches the Reason Principle, it becomes Fire?

* What constitutes the body of a planet (the part without Reason Principles)? Perhaps the vivific, harmonic, etc., is a prefiguration of the FEAW, the prefiguration of the Bhutas in the 12th House.

But how do we get from the Tanmatras to the Bhutas?
