The 12 gods definitely represent Reason Principles of the Universe.

There are two 4-folds. The 4 Empties represent KWFS [Knowing Willing Feeling Sensing]. The 4 kinds of matter, as the substance of the mental body, derive from the Tanmatras. In the 11th House are also imaged the 7 powers of the Soul.

The Reason Principles have as their substantial aspect the 4 Tanmatras. The 7 powers of the Soul are differentiated through the 4, through the operation of the separative intellect.

The bhavas of buddhi give the rings in the 12th House, and relate more to the gnostic aspect of the 4. In the 4th Quadrant, the 4 Tanmatras relate to the fabricative view in the 12th House.

As previously discussed, Jupiter as an example would represent different gnostic functions in different houses. So Jupiter in the 3rd House would be belief.

We still don't know which 4-fold the Fabricative, Guardian, Harmonic and Vivific orders of gods refer to--Avery speculates they may be the 4 [the handwritten glyph can be read as either 4 or Jupiter; 4 fits the context better] in the separative intellect.
