ON GETTING THE SOUL INTO THE 12th HOUSE

& THE MEANING OF THE PRECESSION

The precession is the way the Earth entity is assimilating the sidereal forces. For instance, tropical Aries goes through all the 12 houses in a great year (25,600 years). Each one of the signs of the tropical zodiac is developing into an idea, as the alignment of the Earth's axis changes. The Earth entity assimilates in turn each of the 12 ideas, as a unique and special version of the whole. For instance, Aries, then Pisces . . . . , will have a certain unity, samskaras, etc. A human being on the Earth, whose body is organized at the Earth level, will recapitulate that 12-fold development.

Just as a human being's body's functioning (like his metabolism, etc.) can be correlated with the planetary spheres, so this can be applied to the Earth's body. The Earth is the recipient, and self-apperception, the 6 forces, etc., refers to the Earth.

The traces of functioning left behind become the images, and the images become degrees. The Soul can't directly know the fabricative, i.e., the organs of its vehicle; it can only know the images or the psychical. All life systems becomes images in this sense. (The psychical field is included in the cosmological).

The World Soul has its own Soul ring. It is imaged in the cosmos, and the Earth participates in the World Soul's functions, as does an entity on the Earth. The subjective Soul will read that. (The Chain of Ignorance is that which takes a Soul out of its indeterminacy--it is that reaction of the Soul to its body.)

* The tropical zodiac builds the body. What does this mean in terms of the precession? Maybe the precession means working back in the ideas from sensible manifestation. The Earth entity revolves back through the 12 ideas and gets converted back to its (unity).

Perhaps the 12 labors of Hercules refer to the precession, and the labors can be correlated with the signs. The first labor is the strangling of the Nemean Lion (Leo); the second is the slaying of the Hydra-headed beast (Cancer), etc.

Here it is apparent that 1° Leo is the beginning of the zodiac, the point of the Soul's conquest in making the Idea of Man. The Idea of Man in Soul, the Leo zodiac, will conquer the animals of the tropical zodiac. Through overcoming each of the aspects of the animal nature, the Soul is rationalizing these aspects.

The Soul incarnates (10 times according to Plato) in each sign, and thereby fights a different battle in each age.
