Natal Chaldeans -- aspect pattern between Chaldean is the structure [of] the ego complex, categories of the imagination.

Trans-Saturnians are relating ideas in the Nous to the individual ego. They determine or indicate how that ego will know, feel, and will. The ego complex is the arena for KWF [Knowing Willing Feeling] to get into it. KWF are aspects of the higher knower.

Trans-Saturnians, KWF, are going on all the time, but they don't operate in our reflective consciousness.

The degree natal Uranus is on organized the knower in you; a specific mode of the higher knowing functioning through you. What it is that it knows is the categories of the imagination. With that degree it understands the organization of the categories. Does this degree then prescribe the way you know yourself?

Natal Chaldean to Natal Chaldean -- Soul looking to modifications of body.

Natal trans-Saturnian to Natal Chaldean -- Soul as self-acting, light of Nous shining in it.

Natal trans-Saturnian to Natal trans-Saturnian -- Higher knower.

Take these three as a kernel and build around: Correlate with Vaishvanara (unreflective), Taijasa (can be reflective), and Prajna (discriminating awareness). These three are always operative in chart; it depends on the individual ego whether it knows they are operative or not; it depends on the maturity of the ego whether it knows whether the Nous is operative. The light shining into the ego complex gets lost and the ego says I am that 'I'.

When you understand the degree Saturn is on, are you understanding with that Saturn? Saturn as a category of the imagination is in vaishvanara consciousness. As soon as one reflects on himself, bring in taijasa.

There is something fixed about the natal chart. A planet on a degree functions that way throughout life. There is some modification going on but what (we are) concentrating on is the fixed part.

Transiting Chaldeans relating cosmic soul to individual soul as natal.

Natal Chaldean to Natal Chaldean -- vaishvanara consciousness. Soul conjunct ego completely; doesn't "conceive" of itself as anything else.

The lower two bodies, the shelly and pneumatic, belong totally, are unreservedly part of the cosmos. The light of the soul is associated with that body and modifications that take place are read off by the soul.

Transiting Chaldean to Natal Chaldean -- what is going to happen to that body.

Rational Soul -- transiting Chaldeans -- energizing body, bringing life and light; maybe borderline concept, maybe the natural light of the medievals; not the light of the Sunlike body.

Progressed Chaldean to Natal Chaldean -- evolution and development of the animate; assimilation of natural light into animate; unfoldment or growth of animal body; evolution within the animal body of understanding of sense in the sensible; specific image development operative in instinctual life, so light penetrates into that function.

Progressions, the way the psychosomatic gains meaning through cosmos.

Progressed Saturn moves certain degrees; in terms of those reason-principles manifested becomes more intrinsic to, more of residue as part of ego structure, whereas transits will not.

When we have a progression, transits are going on all the time. The tendency is to say that the progressions are giving meaning to those transits. Meaning is the residue left over after transits. So progressions are giving meaning to those transits, and are therefore more psychical.

We have to think of the natal chart, transits and progressions adding up, so we get more than we originally started with.

Progressed Chaldean to Progressed Chaldean -- constantly evolving understanding that the person has of himself. (degrees progressed = added understanding)

The original natal is the substratum, but now add to this the added understanding. Two [looks like: (meaning/meanings)] in relation is the progressed Chaldean to progressed Chaldean.

Progressed Chaldean to Natal Chaldean -- the way you understand when your Sun is at one degree and twenty years later it is twenty degrees further. You understand yourself with all that addition. Add all that onto what you originally inherited.

Progressed Chaldean to Progressed Chaldean -- way meaning understands meaning; this is coming from reflective consciousness -- why skeptical here.

It is hard to see progressions because they are working out subjectively.

Transiting Chaldean to Progressed Chaldean -- indicated modifications going on to evolved or growing entity.

Natal trans-Saturnian to Natal Chaldean -- Uranus square Saturn reorganizes Saturn principle; that reorganization depends upon degree Uranus is on, and depends on what aspects Uranus has.

When Einstein had Uranus aspect his Saturn Mercury conjunction and idea was brought into the ego, which fundamentally altered the ego's understanding not only of itself but of its world. So the Uranus would represent the intrusion or the inclusion into the ego complex of an idea that wasn't yet in it. But once that idea got into the ego complex then there was a basic reorganization of the world view that Einstein had.

Jung natal Neptune square Sun: the promise or potential for the reorganization of his ego complex. The ego structure is going to be altered by the [word missing here] at the time the transits indicate.

At the moment of birth the demand is placed on the ego that it orientate itself in that direction (of the trans-Saturnian). When Neptune conjunct Sun, the idea, the demand was fully achieved, actualized. He was born with the potential, the demand that he do so and that will dominate the activity or orientation of his life day to day.

Development of self-knower: fundamental alteration of the ego complex by an idea that is not a part of its being. If we think of it as a matrix of thoughts, when a trans-Saturnian hits a Chaldean, there is going to be deposited some more thought in the ego. Take the example of Einstein when the idea of relativity came into him, he worked it out.

Think of all that experience now deposited in his ego as traces of the original idea. It now becomes like part of his ego. The ego is enriched. This process of enriching the ego makes it possible that when there are aspects to the ego complex, the Chaldean planet that is within the ego itself, these possibilities can be brought forth again. Some egos are comparatively immature, some comparatively infantile. So you look at some people and say they are very young, they are immature; you look at others and you see they are very old. It is like their ego is filled up with contents of the Nous in the mode of the ego's being. So we could say that person had a lot of trans-Saturnian aspects prior to this point. So the experience of trans-Saturnian planet enriches the ego's content. An ego that hasn't had many trans-Saturnians has a lack of those contents. The case of the artist you can see it more clearly. He has to draw from within himself. If there wasn't a richness of experience then the artist wasn't there. The richness comes from the ideas being deposited in that ego structure.

With Jung, the notion of the mandala was not innate to the ego, but was brought into the ego structure by Neptune sitting on the Sun, demand for orientation looking for that. So when he had the conjunction, the ego complex got that idea.

The ego in the beginning is not a blank entity. Already there are reason-principles included in that. The demand is placed on the ego to orientate itself in this direction where it will ultimately assimilate the idea that Neptune will bring into the ego. Ultimately the ego is the depository of the ideas in the Nous in a way that is peculiar to the mode of the ego's being. When the idea comes in it circumvents the reflective awareness. When Archimedes was pondering and reflecting on the problem, at the moment he gave up pondering the idea came in. In the case of Einstein, he woke up in the morning in a state of bewilderment. Everything had stopped. This is so when you get a big idea. There is no mental activity. The truth, the idea is just there. The reflective awareness gets in the way, it stops it.

When a person wakes up in the morning the first instant of wakefulness is the most appropriate time because you are in an imageless unreflective state and the truth of an idea could present itself to you. If there is any activity that is cut off. That's why I'm saying the natal trans-Saturnians in relation to natal Chaldeans operate in this peculiar way that they circumvent, go underneath the reflective consciousness. The middle realm must be cut out. It's almost like an infusion. Like you are given an injection. I'm speaking about the way the noetic function is incorporated into the ego. The idea in the Nous knows what it is doing.

Natal trans-Saturnian to Natal Chaldean -- the soul's knowledge of itself. But I emphasize that the mid realm is cut out -- the transiting Chaldeans. (the natural light is shut out) -- The reflective awareness in KCB's version. In that relationship where there is reflection in the ego of the Nous ideas, haven't you just been catapulted into that middle realm? Reflective awareness is not in the ego (the relation of ego to rational soul). . . . goes on through the transiting Chaldeans. Your reflective awareness is structured so it is not cosmic. That building up [of] reflective awareness -- where is it? What is it? The Nous makes demands for planets (natal trans-Saturnian to natal Chaldean) to become rational, reflective. They are looking into themselves. It is not the growth of the animate but the growth of the reflective awareness that is taking place in that (?) relationship. The growth of the reflective awareness is incidental to the injection of the idea into the ego complex. The reflective awareness that demands to bring these things together can't be fulfilled within the realm of reflective awareness' operation. The relation of a trans-Saturnian to a natal is the way that gets fulfilled. The reflective awareness can't do it. But the reflective awareness does arise from that relationship. Reflective awareness being built up was a preparatory activity for the injection of the idea into the ego. So it would be receptive to that idea. It is willing to abolish itself for that demand to get fulfilled. He won't lose the reflective awareness built up. And secondly, the idea came into the ego and now will be actualized whether through his writings, his research.

Natal trans-Saturnian to Natal Chaldean -- building up of reflective awareness. Almost anyone who is going to have a big idea come into him, prior to that there will be activity of reflective consciousness going on. Tremendous preoccupation with it. It is only when it is given up that the idea can come in, but he has got to go through with that preparatory activity. Jung called it the building up of reflective awareness.

If you don't have Sun and Neptune in relation, then when Neptune goes on that Sun it's not going to be as meaningful as if they were originally aspected. If there is a natal aspect, when there is a conjunction it is powerful. If there originally is no such relationship, it can be almost meaningless, the guy will take an ocean voyage.
