Pure synthesis = undivided mind's reception of World-Idea in terms of planetary transits.

Impure synthesis = divided mind's reception of undivided mind's sensation in terms of natal chart and dragon.

Undivided mind:

1) gnostic = cognitive, buddhi bhavas -- 4 pure and impure = knowing willing feeling and dharmas.

2) fabricative powers = yoga vrittis, conative -- Sun (jivana), Moon (samskara), Mercury (parinama), Mars (shakti), Venus (cesta), Jupiter (dharma), Saturn (nirodha). See Yoga Sutras, 3-15 bhasya [=commentary] (Wood). [Note: Ernest E. Wood, Practical Yoga, Ancient and Modern.]

Impure = 7 categories of imagination = reflection of 7 vrittis.
