Plotinus; Soul; Virtues

"Sophrosyne = balance between KWF [knowing willing feeling]

I.2.2, end. "…almost cheating us into the delusion that in the Soul we see God entire." I.e., seeing the Overself as God Absolute, or that Nirvikalpa is the highest.

I.2.3. "The Divine has no states; the state is in the Soul." "Virtue … is a thing of the Soul; it does not belong to the Intellectual-Principle, or … Transcendence."

I.2.3. Plato declares all virtues to be purifications, the purifications is for the Soul to be alone. (cf. III.6.5 on Purification)

I.2.4. Goodness is more than Purification, but is not the Authentic Good - It's what's left after purification.

The alignment to the higher would bring about sahaja, alignment with the World-Idea, (there's) detachment only with Nirvikalpa. Purification leads to alignment, where the Soul has the I.P. [Intellectual-Principle] within it.

I.2.6. "Wisdom and contemplation…differs markedly." Back to the question: Is insight a power of the Soul, or of the Nous? … If insight is the Perfection of Wisdom …
